ABOUT ME
I want my pieces to be the first thing people reach for whenever food and drink are involved.
I spent my early adult life figuring out what I could do that would bring me joy and maybe a little money. In 2003 I took my first pottery class and found something
that would be a part of my life forever. A few years after I started I started apprenticing and managing at Hinckley Pottery in DC. I have been teaching for almost 11 years now.
I love the way that pottery becomes a part of a person's life. It participates
in the big and small moments.
ABOUT THE POTTERY
All my pieces are food, microwave and dishwasher safe. I like to keep my glazes simple and let the shape of the pot be the focus. I want it to feel comfortable in your hands. I mainly work in stoneware and fire in a gas kiln, with the occasional wood firing mixed in.
